HER BODY

DAPHNE LUCKER è una regista olandese attiva ad Amsterdam. Fin dagli esordi ha mostrato una sensibilità particolare verso le relazioni familiari, le tensioni emotive e la bellezza dei dettagli quotidiani. Il suo approccio è poetico e visivo, con una forte componente fisica e teatrale che attraversa i suoi lavori.
Durante gli studi alla Netherlands Film Academy, ha realizzato il cortometraggio Sisters come progetto di diploma. Questo film, che esplora i legami tra tre sorelle attraverso movimenti coreografici e silenzi carichi di significato, ha ottenuto un notevole successo internazionale. Sisters è stato selezionato da diversi festival prestigiosi come il Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, Dance on Camera di New York, Go Short nei Paesi Bassi, Oberhausen in Germania e persino presentato al Museum of Contemporary Art di Roma.
Grazie a questo lavoro, Daphne ha vinto due premi internazionali: IMAGO International Award for Best Student Cinematography (2020), Go Short Senior Jury Award (2025) Her Body è stato premiato dalla giuria senior del Go Short – International Short Film Festival Nijmegen.

DAPHNE LUCKER is a Dutch director based in Amsterdam. From the very beginning of her career, she has demonstrated a unique sensitivity toward family relationships, emotional tension, and the beauty found in everyday details. Her approach is poetic and visual, with a strong physical and theatrical component that runs through her work.
During her studies at the Netherlands Film Academy, she created the short film Sisters as her graduation project. This film, which explores the bonds between three sisters through choreographed movements and meaningful silences, achieved remarkable international success. Sisters was selected by several prestigious festivals, including the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, Dance on Camera in New York, Go Short in the Netherlands, Oberhausen in Germany, and was even presented at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Rome.
Thanks to this work, Daphne received two international awards: the IMAGO International Award for Best Student Cinematography (2020) and the Go Short Senior Jury Award (2025). Her film Her Body was honored by the senior jury of the Go Short – International Short Film Festival Nijmegen.
