ICE_SCREAM is a dance and voice duet which questions the oppositional pair Laughter/Crying.
By means of a pun that resembles a trompe l’oeil, the title contains the opposites that characterise the dramaturgy of the work: ICE refers to emotional freezing, to formal and expressive melting, and to the questions that arise from and lead to such a fusion; SCREAM is the term witnessing the emotional charge of the work.
The research directly addresses the dichotomy of laughing/crying and the grey areas that lie between these two emotional states, thus deals with state changes between the continuous true/false game.
A study on laughing, crying, and the instability of bodily, emotional, and sound states, related to and included between these two apexes. A research that speaks of the frailty and at the same time of the power of the human being who does not fear themself.
