The workshop is focused on the research of choreographic systems starting with the composite, rhythmic, plastic, relational, imaginative, and chiromantic use of the movement of hands and arm joints.
Hands are the main form of non-verbal communication, they help us to tell a story, to reveal our most intimate thoughts. They are our first contact with the outside world, every culture has established different linguistic attitudes for them.
This etude tries to use hands as a starting point to define a series of movement qualities for a group of performers in order to search an abstract form of physical representation. It stems from two main elements: aggregation and disaggregation, decay and subsequent rebuild. So redefines a complex system of โturnoversโ that lead to constantly ever-changing figurations.
