TIME IS OUT OF JOINT crosses diverse languages: dance, cinema and visual art, to penetrate inside the tragic and the comic.
We edit scenic materials from two shows created at different times, with an interval of eight years one from the other, but which share the same origin: Shakespeare’s Hamlet and the Clown character.
The reorganisation of ‘recycled’ materials gives the work a new existence, made up of resonances and connections between the original text and its plastic development on stage.
One part integrates the other, like a bell ringing inside another bell.
The passage from one world to the other, the change of scene (and of the guard) is a performative moment which condenses the question of time and composition, that is, the relationship among stage time, real time and representation.
